Spring Time!

This delightful dragonfly was one of the first brooches created by Andrew Logan in Spring 2023. Let this beautiful piece of wearable art flutter into your life! 

A delicate and dazzling dragonfly indeed, Spring Time has been created in Andrew's trademark style using several pieces of cracked mirror and unusual glass and beads collected on his Artistic Adventures.

This dragonfly's body has been created using three pieces of ultramarine and royal blue glass; cracked mirror pieces have been collaged to construct it's wings. At the top of the brooch, a flower shaped, faceted crystal that shines blue, green and purple  is topped with two smaller oval faceted crystals shining magenta and turquoise; these make up the head and the eyes. The eyes are framed with gold leaf, adding delicate detail, whilst all the other elements are laid over a turquoise resin base with the edges generously dusted with blue, silver and multicolour glitter.

The brooch has approximate dimensions of 12 by 13.5 cm and weighs 33 g.  There is a safety pin on the reverse to attach to your clothing. Andrew hopes this piece becomes a favourite piece of jewellery bringing much joy to the wearer and all that have the fortune to gaze upon it!

This original piece of wearable art has been created with love by artist Andrew Logan in his studio in Mid-Wales. Each brooch is signed and dated on the back by Andrew. This brooch will be packaged in a gift box and sent to you via Special Delivery.
